Apple’s September 2026 Event: A New Era for iPhone

Every year, Apple announces new devices in their September event. This year, the most anticipated announcements are the ones about the iPhone 18, new updates to the Apple Watch and even a new foldable iPhone.

The new iPhone 18 lineup

As usual, the new iPhone will be the main attraction of Apple’s September event. The Pro and Pro Max versions are rumoured to come out first, and the base iPhone 18 will arrive later

iPhone 18 Pro- reports say that the phone will have a smaller Dynamic Island, compared to its predecessor, as well as an upgrade to the wide-angle camera with a variable aperture so lighting can be controlled better way
As for specifications, the 18 Pro will use an A20 Pro chip, while the 17 Pro was powered by an A19 Pro chip, and there will be an upgrade in the network chips as well, switching from an N1 chip to an N2 chip.

iPhone 18 Pro Max- the 1Pro Maxax will also have similar changes, with the same processor upgrades, a smaller Dynamic Island and a better wide-range camera. Also, the battery may get an upgrade from 5088 mAh, up to 5500 mAh.

Both the Pro and Pro Max models will have a price increase of $100 to $200 because of the ongoing rising component costs for DRAM and memory, as well as better processors and cameras.

A Foldable iPhone?

This event could mark Apple’s entry into the foldable market, and we might see Apple’s take on a foldable phone. Rumours say that the name of the phone would be “iPhone Fold,” but the real name is yet to be announced.

It is expected to have a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner display with an aspect ratio of 4:3. The foldable iPhone’s price will be around $2000 to $2500.

Even though nothing is official, the foldable will likely be announced at the upcoming event.

New Apple Watches

The watch lineup is expected to get a few updates, focusing on usual performance improvements, better battery life, and new health sensors as well as an upgraded chipset.s

Unlike the phones, information on the new Apple Watches is very limited.

The iOS 27 Experience

Hardware may not be the only interesting part of the September event.

iOS 27 was revealed at WWDC26 earlier this year, including the next generation of Apple Intelligence and significant upgrades to Siri as well.
This time around, the OS will be used to show the capabilities of the new hardware and software upgrades of the phones.

What else can we expect?

If the reports are accurate, Apple will release their new foldable phone, AirPods, and Apple Watches will get a few upgrades, and the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be announced as the successors.

We may even get a look at slightly upgraded MacBooks, but it would be more likely for that to happen after the September event
